Most of the Readouts for ProScale systems are interchangeable and backward compatible. However, it is VERY IMPORTANT that the ENCODER and SCALE use the same measurement technology.

SCALE & ENCODER TECHNOLOGY MUST MATCH FOR A PROSCALE SYSTEM TO OPERATE CORRECTLY!

ProScale systems using Inductive measurement technology have been in production since 2007. 
NOTE: A 'splice' may be observed every 17" (430mm) - see above - on some scales:
THIS IS NORMAL and should not be considered a defect or damaged scale!

Inductive Scales: Inductive Series I Scales come four styles and several standard measuring lengths.
The Physical length of a scale is 4 inches longer than its measuring range.
These scales may be cut to a custom length without damage.

Model 180     0.75" wide x 0.25" high

Model 280       2.02" wide x 0.75" high

Model 380    0.75" wide x 0.75" high

Model 580       4.34" wide x 0.96" high

Inductive Encoders: Inductive Series I Encoders come supplied with several different cable lengths.
